There never seems to be enough hours in the day to do everything I’d like to and that includes reading all the blogs, magazines and newspapers I love. So I’ve started listening to podcasts when driving, getting ready for work or cleaning the house. You can find a podcast for just about any topic and any area of interest. From sports to news to interviews to storytelling; there is a podcast for everyone.
I’ve enjoyed interviews with fashion designers, writing tips and my favorite, analysis by the authors of Freakonomics, all on podcast. You can improve your grammar with Grammar Girl, hang onto Tina Fey’s every word (I can never get enough of Tina Fey) or catch up on the latest trends in technology. By the way, left to my own devices without any editing, I will always spell grammar wrong, (e, instead of a, after da m).
I listen to podcasts on my laptop, iPhone or Apple TV. iTunes has a great selection (you can subscribe to your favorites too) and of course, NPR has a ton of compelling content to choose from.
Living Maui Social is a local podcast that strives to share the experience, info and stories of social media enthusiasts with Maui and beyond. They invited me to share a meal and to talk story about my experience with MauiShopGirl and other social media. I was so flattered as I’m a fairly new blogger and relatively unknown. I had a blast, made a few new friends and discovered a new favorite breakfast joint (Big Wave Cafe in Kihei).
I’d love to hear your podcasts recommendations in the comments below.
