I have a thing for robes. I’ve always been on the lookout for the perfect robe. Something pretty and flattering in a light natural material. There was a time I did succomb to the lure of a big, bulky terrycloth or chenille number (preferably with dog bones patches all over it), the kind that screams “wear me with pink terry house slippers, your glasses & a ponytail”. But now, I prefer something sophisticated but sweet, something easy to feel pretty in. Well, the search has ended because I’ve found the perfect robe.
Plum Pretty Sugar robes and lounge pants are meant to be seen. Every print is gorgeous and the material (cotton or habutai silk) is light, breathable and machine washable. But the most amazing thing about these robes is the cut and the fit. The sleeves are kimono cut and the robe is seriously flattering (trust me, I have two of the knee length style and have worn them happily even during my darkest hour of gaining 30 lbs…. and no I wasn’t pregnant).
Charlotte Mills has appropriately dubbed her easy to wear, too pretty to hide line, loungerie. I’m putting this pink love poppy pant in my shopping cart right now, perfect with a little white cami for a night on the home front.
If loungewear isn’t your thing, (this is Hawaii, right? shorts & tanks is how we roll…), then send a little sugar your bed’s way.
(Off topic but, I can’t hold back, must say…. this bedroom makes me weak in the knees. The white lacquer, the mixing of prints, orange accents, with a natural shade and wood floors for warmth, I love it all.)
I’d mix and match the pillow shams with crisp white linens so I wouldn’t have to decide on just one. Stacked, these make me nostalgic for my favorite childrens’ story, The Princess and the Pea.
Have a plum pretty day y’all!
