Tara and Percy of the Jersey Ice Cream Co have a love of old and beautiful things….
Thank you Tara and Percy for sharing your lovely picks because I love old things too. When I’m not blogging I work for one of the oldest companies in Hawaii and there are many objects in our office that serve as a reminder of how things used to be made, from wainscoting throughout to vintage wooden document storage. While our workspace is humble and frugal, there are those touches of history that are aged and wonderful. While some of my co-workers opt for the newer plastic in-trays, I keep my mail and files in the sturdy metal versions from long ago. On the homefront, I’ve also picked up a few vintage pieces here and there as a touch of vintage can warm up and give character to an otherwise modern home office or workspace. My desk is an antique from La Jolie Maison and I keep my paper punching supplies in old metal card drawers bought from an etsy seller. On my wish list is an architect file or library card drawer set.
I was thrilled to stumble upon the Jersey Ice Cream Co, a thoughtfully curated collection of vintage pieces and sweet handmade postcards to add a touch of old and beautiful to any home.
This blue tinted Mason jar is gorgeous and old. Tara and Percy have filled it with pretty lavender sprigs.
These handmade postcards come in those lovely muted pastel colors which give a vintage vibe but with prose that is undeniably modern.
The vintage set of drawers is in classic Scovill green. It has been loved and used in a Scovill factory.
The Rand McNally globe is the perfect addition to a study, reading nook or craft room.
