I love Sundays…
I’ll be working on posts for later this week. Tomorrow’s post will highlight my trip with Dad yesterday to the west side to attend the Lahaina Plantation Days event. Great antique exhibits, photos and exhibits were the highlight. But we definitely enjoyed the ono food booths and life music too.
Also on deck is a post about our guided tour at the Old Maui High School just before Ho’okipa. Rich Lucas of the Friends of Old Maui High School was kind of enough to escort us and discuss some of the history of the school and the ongoing restoration efforts.
This week’s obsessed with Etsy will highlight an artist who sells soaps like you’ve never seen before, a little goth and a little candy store. Her unique designs will delight and amuse.
I’m also working on wrapping up a spotlight of the Maui jewelry line, Sophie Grace, whose Paia store includes a wonderful customized bead bar.
Also tossing around an essay on what motivates me, a naturally very shy and reclusive sort of girl, to not let life pass me by. Some of you who have met me later in life may be surprised I’d describe myself as shy but I started off in elementary school awkward and painfully bashful, this part of my personality is something I will always struggle with. Before I do any interview of a shop owner or even meet new friends, I feel, quite frankly, as if I’m going to pass out. This essay will be about how I got over myself and moved on so I can embrace everything life has to offer to the fullest.
Have a wonderful Sunday everyone!
