My weekend seems really busy when I look back on it but it didn’t feel that way. Spent Saturday morning walking a 5K with my co-workers in the American Heart Association’s Heartwalk. After the opening ceremonies that included a sponsor Tshirt contest and a Zumba warmup, we walked around Keopuolani Regional Park twice and ended at the Health Fair. You could take your blood pressure, try out heart healthy food or Zumba some more.
In the afternoon, da BF and I headed to the University of Hawaii Maui College to setup for the 1st Annual Auto Fest. The Maui Motocross Association had an area where they displayed their bikes and quads for kids thru adults. There were a ton of great vintage cars, pimped up rides, Harleys and the dealers also showed up with some drool worthy options. Ono local food trucks including Lau Hee and Da Puerto Rican Food Truck were there. Live performances and a hot wing eating contest by the Culinary Academy (I could smell the wings twenty feet away from the stage, no joke) rounded out an evening of good fun.
Sunday was a lazy day, spent the morning watching the last few episodes of Project Runway All Stars, then headed out for a pedi, grocery shopping and a quick trip to Banana Republic in Wailea (sale!).
What I didn’t do this weekend was clean my floors, write or my online Chef Teton class.
How was your weekend?
