Hope
He who plants a tree
plants a hope.
~ Lucy Larcom (excerpt from the poem, Plant a Tree)
Hope has won elections, made the impossible seem possible and kept the human spirit alive in the face of adversity. Hope is my kind of four letter word.

Mahalo to everyone who participated in last week’s My Holiday prompt. I also wanted to apologize that the thumbnails weren’t showing up on the post last week. I will write to inlinkz to inquire why that occurs and this week I’ll do a double check earlier. To fix it, I usually just rerun the script on their site without changing any settings so I have no clue what causes the error.
Here’s a peek at prompts for the next few weeks.

I love this photo, Tanya. Hope is my kind of 4 letter word too!
For some reason, the photo prompt didn’t speak to me this week. I’ve written about hope but I couldn’t come up with a photo! Oh well. Thanks for the early prompts.
No worries Jenn and thanks for stopping by.
I won’t have time to read your free gift right now as I’m busy at work but looking forward to digging in mid month. Thank you for sharing!
Without hope, we are certainly lost! Happy New Year, Tania! I have to get my camera out and start shooting!
I love that line Lisa…without hope.
I was going to do a dslr shot this week, had something planned. But I shot this tree on my walk with my iPhone and I loved it so much and thought it was perfect. But yes, let’s get shooting!
Love this photo and tree! Perfectly hopeful! Okay, I will be tomorrow to link up…
I can never explain why trees fill us with hope but they just do, perfectly.
Thanks for linking up Ann.
hope is my kind of 4 letter word, too! and “work” – that’s my kind, too, because hope sitting on the couch is not the same as hope working. you think? joy and happy 2013!
Agreed! I’ve always found the word hope so interesting because it can be somewhat passive as a verb (I hope it works out) but incredibly strong as a noun (Once the speech concluded, the crowd was overwhelmed with hope).
Happy 2013 & work Noreen.
Hope is such a good theme for the New Year.
HOPE is what 2013 is all about. It’s more than just hope though. It’s about getting goals completed and making the world better! ALOHA!
Yup one part hope & 3 parts action.
Hope, the one thing that can never be taken from a person, it can only be lost. Never lose hope! Aloha
